City of New Sarum in the County of Wilts To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Edmund in the city of New Sarum aforesaid, to remove and convey; and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Ottery St Mary in the County of Devon to receive and obey, These. Whereas Complaint hath been made by you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Edmund in the city of New Sarum aforesaid, unto us, whose Hands and Seals are hereunto subscribed and set, being two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for the said City (one whereof is of the Quorum) that Robert Bending and Mary his wife and their three children now living, namely Elizabeth aged about twelve years Ann aged about eight years William aged about seventeen months are come to inhabit the said Parish of Saint Edmund not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor prodced any Certificate, owning them to be settled elsewhere; and the said Robert Bending and Mary his wife and their said three children are actually become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Edmund We, the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof before us, as well as upon Examination of the said Robert		Bending upon Oath. as otherwise; and likewise, upon due consideration had of the Premises, do adjudge the said Complaint and Premises to be true; and we do also adjudge, that the lawful Settlement of themthe said Robert Bending and Mary his wife and their said three Children is in the Parish of Ottery St Mary in the County of Devon aforesaid. THESE are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in this Behalf made, to order you and require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Edmund or some or one of you, to remove and convey the said Robert Bending and Mary his wife and their said three Children from and out of your said Parish of Saint Edmund to the said Parish of Ottery Saint Mary and them to deliver to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true Copy thereof And we do also hereby require you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Ottery Saint Mary forthwith to receive the said Robert Bending and Mary his wife and their said three Children into your said Parish and provide for them as your own Parishioners GIVEN under our Hands and Seals the twenty fifth Day of May in the Year of our Lord 1818.
